Susan P. Limber is the Dan Olweus Professor at Clemson University with appointments in the Department of Psychology and as Graduate Program Director for the PhD in International Family & Community Studies. Her research focuses on psychological and legal aspects of youth violence, particularly bullying prevention, children's rights, and youth civic engagement.
Research interests include bullying dynamics in schools, effectiveness of prevention programs like the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program, children's understanding of their rights, cyberbullying interventions, and youth participation models. She investigates developmental aspects of aggression and protective factors affecting child well-being.
Publications consistently address bullying prevention program evaluation, policy analysis, and developmental approaches to violence reduction. Recent work emphasizes cyberbullying interventions, global child welfare, and implementation science in school settings.
