Miles M. Evers is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Connecticut. His research focuses on the economic drivers of security policy and U.S. diplomatic history, with publications in leading journals such as European Journal of International Relations, International Security, and Perspectives on Politics. He has co-authored the forthcoming book The Price of Empire with Eric Grynaviski, analyzing American imperialism in the Pacific, and is currently working on a second book titled Private Wars, which investigates corporate impacts on U.S. foreign interventions in Latin America, South Asia, and the Middle East.
