Milena Lewandowska

Milena Lewandowska is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Health Economics Research and Evaluation (CHERE) within the Faculty of Health at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). She has been affiliated with UTS since February 2018, focusing on economic evaluations to support healthcare decision-making, particularly for the Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee (PBAC).

Her research spans health economics, health technology assessment (HTA), and cost-effectiveness analysis, with a focus on medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and public health interventions. Recent projects include AI adoption in radiation therapy, inherited retinal disease utility estimation, and immunoglobulin funding evaluations.

Key trends in her publications highlight preferences for AI systems in healthcare, economic modeling of rare disease treatments, and cost comparisons for medical procedures. Her work often integrates clinical evidence with economic frameworks to inform policy decisions.
