Mike Griffiths

Mike Griffiths is a Lecturer in Sport Management at the Business School, Manchester Metropolitan University, affiliated with the Sport Policy Unit. His research explores evolving conceptions of sport in digital eras, focusing on esports and their societal implications. He teaches courses on global sport cultures, mega-events, and ethical governance across undergraduate programs in Sports Business and Marketing Management.

Awards: Recognized with the 'Best PGR Presentation' award at the 2023 Political Studies Association’s Sport & Politics Conference for his work on esports, play, and games.
