Mieke Verfaellie is a Professor of Psychiatry at Boston University School of Medicine and serves as the Director of the BU Memory Disorders Research Center. Additionally, she is a Research Career Scientist at the VA Boston Healthcare System. Her research focuses on the cognitive and neural foundations of human memory, particularly in clinical populations like PTSD and traumatic brain injury patients.

Verfaellie’s work explores memory disorders through neuroimaging, epigenetics, and behavioral studies.
