Michelle Langenfeld is a Lecturer in the Department of Education at Bethel University, where she has been affiliated since 2007. Her career spans over three decades in K–12 education, including leadership roles such as Superintendent of Schools and Learning for the Green Bay Area Public Schools (2011–2020) and various administrative positions in the Anoka-Hennepin School District.
Her primary research and professional interests include literacy, mental health, school safety, and family/community partnerships. These areas are informed by her extensive experience in urban and suburban educational settings as a teacher, administrator, and consultant.
Langenfeld earned her B.A. from St. Cloud State University in 1976, followed by an M.Ed. in Children and Families (1991) and an Ed.D. in Educational Policy and Administration (1999) from the University of Minnesota.
She currently serves as a director on the Anoka-Hennepin School Board and the Minnesota School Board Association, while also volunteering at an elementary school and participating in the Higher Education Literacy Partnership.
