Michelle Steffenhagen is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of General Studies and Introduction to Wellbeing Coordinator at Bethel University's College of Arts and Sciences. She also serves as a Teaching Partner of Psychology and contributes to Addiction Studies Certificate and Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership programs in other colleges. Her research focuses on purpose and wellbeing in emerging adults.
Education: B.A. in Communication (Bethel University, 2003), M.S. in Mental Health Counseling (Lee University, 2007), M.S. in College Student Development (Lee University, 2014), and Ed.D. in Leadership in Higher Education (Bethel University, 2021).
Teaching roles include courses on wellbeing, counseling theory, addictions, family dynamics, and higher education leadership. She holds an Associate Certified Coach credential from the ICF.
Publications include a 2022 article on college student purpose in Growth, and presentations on strengths-based approaches in student development and self-harm intervention.
