Michelle Kimple

Michelle Kimple is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, leading a research team focused on pancreatic beta-cell signaling in diabetes. Her NIH and JDRF-funded work investigates G protein-coupled receptor pathways in type 1 and type 2 diabetes pathogenesis, with translational applications for therapeutics.

Her research employs molecular biology techniques and animal models to study nutrient-hormonal interactions affecting beta-cell function. She teaches Endocrine Physiology and mentors trainees through the Endocrinology and Reproductive Physiology Program.
