Michelle K. Duffy is Professor and Vernon Heath Chair at the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management, where she serves as Director of Graduate Studies for the PhD program. With a PhD in Organizational Behavior from the University of Arkansas, her research examines leader behavior, employee well-being, emotion in workplaces, and organizational deviance.
Duffy's expertise encompasses mindfulness interventions in work settings, ethical leadership, and mechanisms of moral disengagement that enable workplace misconduct. Her investigations into resume fraud explore deceptive practices in hiring contexts.
She has published extensively in top management journals including Journal of Applied Psychology, Academy of Management Journal, and Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes. Duffy previously served as Associate Editor for Journal of Applied Psychology and Journal of Management.
