Dr. Michelle Crozier is a Lecturer and HCI Academic Program Coordinator at the University of Central Florida (UCF), within the School of Global Health Management and Informatics under the College of Community Innovation and Education. She holds a PhD and MPH in Public Health from the University of South Florida College of Public Health (USF COPH). Her professional experience includes roles as a communicable disease epidemiologist with the Florida Department of Health, influenza epidemiologist during the 2009 H1N1 pandemic, and Visiting Assistant Professor of Epidemiology at USF COPH.
Dr. Crozier's expertise spans applied epidemiology, program evaluation, and population-based research. Her work focuses on mitigating psychological trauma's impact on communities, with emphasis on adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), military women's health, and public health workforce training. She has contributed to studies on screen time-obesity links in adolescents, deployment effects on military women's pregnancy outcomes, and innovative education technologies in online learning environments.
Her educational background includes a PhD in Public Health (2017) and MPH (2008), both from USF. She has managed the Health Sciences Collegiate Academy at Lake-Sumter State College and actively mentors students. Dr. Crozier’s research integrates epidemiological methods with public health interventions, emphasizing real-world applications in community health improvement.
