Michelle Concepcion is a full-time Lecturer and Assistant Dean of Faculty Development in Graduate & Professional Studies at McDaniel College, where she serves as Program Coordinator for the Master of Science in Teaching and Special Education programs. She teaches graduate and undergraduate courses including SED 500: Intro to Special Education, EDU 4420: Creating Inclusive Classrooms, and SED 553: Internship in Special Education.
Her educational background includes:
- 1998: M.S. from Johns Hopkins University
- 1989: B.A. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech)
With over 30 years of experience in public education, Dr. Concepcion's expertise focuses on Special Education, Inclusive Education, Teacher Training, Educational Leadership, and Diversity and Inclusion. Her professional mission centers on creating inclusive classrooms and fostering belonging among diverse populations through practical application of educational theory.
