Michele Miller

Dr. Michele Miller is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Campbell University's School of Engineering, where she has been teaching since January 2017. Prior to this, she spent 22 years as a mechanical engineering professor at Michigan Technological University. Her expertise lies in mechanics, machine design, and manufacturing processes.

Dr. Miller has played a vital role in engineering accreditation and leadership. She has served as an ABET evaluator since 2006, was an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commissioner from 2015 to 2020, and chaired ASME’s Committee for Engineering Education from 2021 to 2024—highlighting her national influence in shaping engineering education standards.

Before her academic career, she worked as a manufacturing engineer at General Motors, providing her with valuable industry experience that informs her teaching and research. There is no indication of part-time status, and she remains actively involved in professional service and academic leadership.
