Michele Krech serves as an Assistant Professor at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law, Toronto Metropolitan University, where she investigates international and transnational legal frameworks with emphasis on human rights, gender equality, and global sport governance.
Her educational background includes:
- JSD and LLM from New York University School of Law
- JD from the University of Ottawa
- MA in International Affairs from Carleton University
- BA in Global Development Studies from Queen's University
Employing critical legal theory and socio-legal methodologies, Professor Krech examines how intersections between domestic/international legal systems and public/private regulatory authorities impact access to justice. Her scholarship particularly analyzes transnational organizational accountability and scientific knowledge integration in legal processes, with groundbreaking work on gender regulation within international sports governance.
Her distinguished fellowships include:

- Max Weber Fellow at European University Institute
