Dr. Michele Crepaz is a Vice-Chancellor’s Illuminate Fellow in Political Science at Queen’s University Belfast (QUB), within the School of History, Anthropology, Philosophy and Politics. He previously held roles as an IRC Postdoctoral Fellow at Trinity College Dublin (TCD), Lecturer at the University of Galway and TU Dublin, and earned his PhD in Political Science from TCD in 2017. His work bridges Comparative Politics and Public Policy Analysis, focusing on interest group dynamics and transparency in governance.
Research Interests include: Interest Group Politics, Transparency Research, Comparative Politics, Public Policy, and Public Administration. His projects, such as InterCov (on interest representation during the pandemic) and ReCiv (CSO resilience in crises), utilize innovative methods like survey experiments and focus groups. He collaborates with institutions like The Good Lobby and contributes to policy debates through media engagements and advisory roles (e.g., Irish Standards in Public Office Commission).
Awards include the Vice-Chancellor’s Illuminate Fellowship (QUB), IRC Postdoctoral Fellowship, and the PSAI Elizabeth Meehan Prize. His research appears in journals like West European Politics, Journal of European Public Policy, and Regulation & Governance, with books such as Regulating Lobbying: A Global Comparison (2019) and Viral Lobbying (2022). He manages the blog Regulate Lobbying and serves on the PSAI Executive Committee.
