Michel DUPREZ is a Researcher at Inria's MIMESIS team located at the Nancy-Grand-Est center. His research focuses on applied mathematics, numerical analysis, and scientific computing, with expertise in controllability of parabolic systems, crowd dynamics modeling, and optimization problems in biological contexts. He completed his PhD in Applied Mathematics at Université de Franche-Comté (supervised by Farid Ammar Khodja and Franz Chouly) in 2015. Subsequent postdoctoral work included studies at the Institut de Mathématiques de Marseille (I2M) and Laboratoire des Sciences de l’Information et des Systèmes (LSIS) under Francesco Rossi and Morgan Morancey (2016–2018), followed by research at Laboratoire Jacques-Louis Lions (LJLL) with Yannick Privat and Grégoire Nadin (2018–2019). From 2019–2020, he served as a Lecturer at Paris Dauphine University before joining Inria in 2020.
His technical expertise spans finite element methods and numerical simulations, with contributions to both theoretical and applied mathematical challenges. Current research integrates computational methodologies with biological optimization frameworks.
