Nicolas Nisse is an Inria Research Director (DR2) at the COATI team, a joint unit of Inria Sophia Antipolis and Université Côte d'Azur (I3S/CNRS/UNS). He holds a PhD (2007) and Habilitation (2014) from University of Paris-Saclay. His research focuses on algorithmic graph theory, pursuit-evasion games, and network optimization, with applications in telecommunications and distributed systems. He has supervised numerous PhD students and led several national/international projects.
- Education: Master and PhD from LRI, University of Paris 11 (2004-2007)
- Postdoctoral Experience: Universidad de Chile (2007-2008), Inria Sophia Antipolis (2008-2009)
- Teaching: Graphs and Algorithms courses at Master’s level, including Ubinet and MPSI programs
- Affiliations: Editor for Discrete Applied Mathematics, organizer of GRASTA workshops, and member of conference committees (e.g., LAGOS, AlgoTel)
- Key Projects: CANOE (Inria Associated Team), ANR P-GASE, and collaborations with Brazilian and Chilean institutions
His research emphasizes algorithmic solutions for network challenges, leveraging graph decompositions and pursuit-evasion frameworks to address NP-hard problems in telecommunications.
