David Coudert is a Senior Researcher (Directeur de Recherche) at Inria and the scientific leader of COATI, a joint project-team with Inria Sophia Antipolis - Méditerranée and the I3S laboratory (CNRS / Université Côte d'Azur). He holds a Master's in Computer Science (1997) from ENS Lyon and UCBL, a Ph.D. in Computer Science (2001) from UNS, and an HDR (2010).
- Research Focus: Algorithmics, combinatorial optimization, graph theory, WDM networks, wireless backhaul networks, and fault-tolerant network design.
His work spans network reconfiguration, traffic grooming, and hyperbolicity computation, with applications in transportation, telecommunications, and biomedical networks. He actively contributes to open-source projects like Sagemath.
Key administrative roles include leadership of COATI since 2013, Delegated Scientific Leader at Inria (2022), and various committee memberships. He has mentored numerous Ph.D. students whose careers extend to academia and industry globally.
