Dr. Michaela Spiske is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Earth Sciences at Simon Fraser University. Her research focuses on sedimentary geology and event stratigraphy, particularly in coastal processes and natural hazards like tsunamis and storms. She investigates both terrestrial and marine environments, analyzing sediment preservation potential, storm frequencies and intensities, and hydrodynamics during tsunami events.
