Katrin Monecke

Katrin Monecke serves as Associate Professor of Geosciences at Wellesley College, where she leads research on Earth surface processes and natural hazard assessment. Her work focuses on sedimentary records of tsunamis, earthquakes, and coastal changes to enhance community disaster preparedness.

Her research spans:

• Sedimentation patterns of tsunami deposits along Indian Ocean shorelines
