Michaela Reagan

Dr. Michaela Reagan is a Faculty Scientist II at the Maine Medical Center Research Institute and an Assistant Professor at Tufts University School of Medicine. She leads the Reagan Laboratory at Maine Medical Center, focusing on cancer research within the bone marrow microenvironment.

Education:

• B.S. in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College (2006)
• Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Tufts University (2011)
• Post-doctoral research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (2011-2015)

Research Focus: Her laboratory investigates novel targets for blood cancers like multiple myeloma, particularly examining interactions between bone marrow adipocytes and tumor cells. This work is supported by NIH/NCI R37 and American Cancer Society grants focusing on Fatty Acid Binding Proteins.

Professional Service: She serves on the Finance Committee of the American Society of Bone and Mineral Research and previously chaired the Society's Women's Committee.
