Professor Michael V. Hernandez is a faculty member at Regent University School of Law, where he has taught courses including Appellate Advocacy, Property Law, and Race & the Law since 1992. He has held leadership roles as Dean of the School of Law, Director of LL.M. Programs, and Director of the Honors Program.

Hernandez's research spans property law, race and the law, law and religion, and appellate advocacy. His publications include analyses of religiously affiliated law schools and critiques of theoretical frameworks in legal realism. His 1997–2017 scholarship demonstrates sustained focus on property rights, legal pluralism, and socio-cultural dynamics in law.
