Michael Show is a Professor of Entertainment Design, currently teaching at ArtCenter College of Design (since 2016) and Laguna College of Art and Design (since 2011). A renowned former supervising animator at Walt Disney Feature Animation, his 20+ year career at Disney included contributions to classics like The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, and Hercules. He transitioned to CG animation at Disney, working on Chicken Little, Meet the Robinsons, and Bolt. His teaching focuses on foundational 2D animation principles, including courses like 2D 1 Fundamentals and 2D 2 Mechanics.
Trained at California Institute of the Arts, his student work Chickin's Fer Rent earned awards. His expertise bridges traditional animation techniques and modern storytelling, emphasizing character development and motion dynamics.
