Ronald Husband is an Adjunct Professor with a 38-year career at The Walt Disney Company, where he retired as a character artist in the Consumer Products Division. He is noted as the first African American animator and first African American supervising animator at Walt Disney Studios. He holds an AA in Art from Citrus College and a BA in Art from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (1973).
He has taught animation, character design, drawing, and conducted workshops at institutions including Laguna College of Art and Design, Xavier University, Gnomon School of Visual Arts, CalArts, and others across the U.S., Mexico, and Japan. His expertise spans action analysis (evidenced by his course ILL-307-03) and mentorship in visual arts education.
