Michael Lyne is a Senior Lecturer in Mental Health Social Work at Bournemouth University. His professional background includes roles as a Registered Social Worker and Registered Mental Nurse, with extensive experience implementing the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Mental Health Act 1983. He has held external examiner roles at Manchester Metropolitan University (2011-2016).
Education includes an LLM in Mental Health Law, Policy and Practice (Northumbria University, 2007), MA in Applied Social Studies (1998), and Prof Qual in Registered Mental Nursing (1982). He is a member of the Health and Care Professions Council and Nursing and Midwifery Council.
