Dr. Michael Leach is a Senior Lecturer at Monash University’s School of Rural Health in Bendigo, combining research and teaching roles. His work focuses on healthcare quality and safety, with interdisciplinary projects in cancer survivorship, oral anti-cancer medications, and rural healthcare access. He holds a PhD in Pharmacoepidemiology and certifications in Health Informatics and Applied Statistics.

Research Interests: Dr. Leach’s research spans cancer care, pharmacy accessibility, palliative care, and health humanities. Current projects include evaluating oral chemotherapy education, rural pharmacy density, and the Gippsland Cancer Survivorship Program. His health humanities work includes poetry addressing healthcare topics, published in journals like the Medical Journal of Australia.
