Elica Ristevski

Elica Ristevski is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Rural Health, Monash University, where she conducts impactful research in cancer care, supportive care, and rural health. She holds a PhD from La Trobe University and is actively involved in research and teaching, with a strong focus on health equity and evidence-based practice.

Research Interests: Her work centers on cancer survivorship, supportive care, chronic disease management, and culturally safe healthcare. She employs qualitative research methods and implementation science to improve health outcomes, particularly in rural and underserved populations. Her research aligns with several UN Sustainable Development Goals, including good health and well-being.

Recent Research Trends: Her recent publications and projects highlight a consistent focus on disparities in cancer care, especially between metropolitan and rural areas. She investigates access to clinical trials, medication education for oral chemotherapy, and the unique needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cancer patients. She is a Primary Chief Investigator on several active grants with funding extending to 2028.
