Michael J. Messina

Michael J. Messina is a Professor of Marketing at Gannon University's Dahlkemper School of Business, where he has served since 1982. He has held numerous leadership positions including Professor of Marketing & MBA Director (2011-2019), Director of Graduate Programs, and Director of the Marketing Program. His extensive teaching portfolio includes graduate courses such as Strategic Marketing Management, Marketing Research, Consumer Behavior, and Marketing Ethics, as well as numerous undergraduate marketing courses.

Dr. Messina earned his BSBA from John Carroll University, MBA from Youngstown State University, and PhD from Kent State University, where his dissertation focused on alcohol advertising. His research interests span marketing education, consumer behavior, supply chain management, marketing ethics, and the integration of marketing with operations management. His scholarly work demonstrates a consistent focus on practical applications of marketing principles in both educational and business contexts.
