Professor Michael Harrison-Blount is Associate Dean for Allied Health and Faculty Lead at the University of Buckingham, based at the Crewe campus. He is a registered podiatrist and academic leader with extensive experience in healthcare education and curriculum development.
His educational background includes an MSc in Medical Education and a BSc (Hons) in Podiatry. He has held key academic roles at The University of Salford, serving as programme lead for both BSc (Hons) Podiatry and MSc Vascular Surgery programmes.
His research and professional interests lie in educational facilitators that support change in healthcare practice, academic quality assurance, and innovative models in allied health education. He has contributed to national standards through roles on the Academic Quality Assurance Committee and Education Board of the Royal College of Podiatry.
Michael Harrison-Blount has been recognized with several professional distinctions, including Chartered Scientist status (awarded in 2014) and Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy. He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Glasgow and a member of the Academy of Clinical Educators.
