Evelyn Weir

Evelyn Weir is a Lecturer and Programme Leader for the BSc (Hons) in Podiatry within the Dietetics, Nutrition & Biological Sciences, Physiotherapy, Podiatry & Radiography (DNBSPPR) Division at Queen Margaret University. She holds academic qualifications including a BEd, DPodM, MSc in Gerontology, and is completing a Doctoral Thesis in Health and Social Sciences. Her roles include leading Interprofessional Education for the School of Health Sciences and serving as a reviewer for the Journal of Interprofessional Care.

Research interests focus on ageing, interprofessional working, dermatology, homelessness, forensic podiatry, and mental health. She has over 20 years of voluntary work in podiatry for the homeless sector across Scotland. Professional affiliations include HCPC registration and membership of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists.

Teaching responsibilities span reflective writing, anatomy, anaesthetics, medical ethics, social policy, patient communication, gerontology, and diabetes management. She actively presents at national podiatry and interprofessional education events.
