Charlotte Vannet

Mrs Charlotte Vannet is a Lecturer in Podiatry at the University of East London (UEL) and serves as Programme Leader for the BSc (Hons) Podiatry programme. She joined UEL in 2003 after working in the NHS and at University College London (UCL) since 2000.

• Education: First-class BSc (Hons) in Podiatry from University College London; Masters in Research.
• Professional Affiliations: Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Member of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists, Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.

Her research focuses on the diabetic foot, vascular assessment, biomechanical foot characteristics in multi-ethnic populations, and paediatric foot health. She has presented at national and international conferences, including studies on virtual healthcare applications (e.g., Second Life) and ethnic variations in foot structure. Recent work explores ethnicity’s influence on paediatric foot anatomy and function.

Conference presentations span healthcare technology integration, diabetic foot assessment protocols, and vascular pathology. Awards include fellowship recognition for her contributions to academic podiatry education. Teaching responsibilities include clinical podiatry practice modules and applied health sciences, with leadership in programme administration and accreditation processes.
