Beatriz Alija

Beatriz Alija is a Clinical Senior Lecturer in the School of Allied Health, specializing in Podiatric Medicine & Surgery at the University of Western Australia. She is also the CPD Coordinator at Podiatry Western Australia. Her expertise spans fungal bioaerosols, occupational health for podiatrists, and Aboriginal healthcare.

Education:

Research Interests: Fungal bioaerosols, occupational safety in podiatry, diabetic foot care, biomechanics, Aboriginal health, and pediatric podiatry. Her work addresses microbial contamination risks in clinical settings and culturally sensitive healthcare practices.

Grants & Supervision: Currently supervising HDR projects like 'Sole Stories: Yarning about Diabetic Foot Education with Aboriginal People'. Active in mentoring and conference support for students.
