Craig Gwynne

Dr. Craig Gwynne is a Senior Lecturer in Podiatry at Cardiff Metropolitan University's Cardiff School of Sport & Health Sciences. He holds an honorary contract with Cardiff and Vale University Health Board and is a qualified Podiatrist registered with the HCPC. His clinical roles include managing MSK clinics and serving as a clinical supervisor within the Wales Centre for Podiatric Studies. Additionally, he serves as admissions tutor for the BSc Podiatry program and Level 4 year tutor.

His research focuses on musculoskeletal biomechanics, podiatric infections, and population health risks. Key areas include fungal nail infections, foodborne illness risks in diabetes, and biomechanical analysis of patellofemoral pain syndromes. His work bridges clinical practice and public health, emphasizing translational research.

Dr. Gwynne collaborates with healthcare institutions and contributes to undergraduate education, shaping podiatry training programs. His recent publications span clinical podiatry, epidemiology, and biomechanical studies, reflecting his interdisciplinary expertise.
