Michael Grubb

Michael Grubb is an Associate Professor in the Economics Department at Boston College. His research focuses on Behavioral Industrial Organization, Industrial Organization, and Applied Microeconomic Theory. He holds a B.S. from the University of Pennsylvania, an M.Phil. from the University of Oxford, and a Ph.D. from Stanford University.

His work examines consumer behavior in markets characterized by complexity and overconfidence, including telecommunications and financial services. He has published extensively on topics like bill shock, dynamic pricing, and behavioral interventions in market regulation.

Professor Grubb's recent research includes experimental studies on overdraft alerts, consumer decision-making in nonlinear pricing environments, and behavioral interventions in market regulation. His articles often intersect Industrial Organization, Behavioral Economics, and Policy Analysis.
