Dr. Michael Fleming is a Senior Lecturer in Public Health and Chartered Statistician at the University of Glasgow's School of Health and Wellbeing. He holds a BSc in Applied Mathematics and Astronomy, an MSc in Applied Statistics, and a PhD in Public Health. His research focuses on using novel record linkage techniques and statistical methods to analyze complex data in public health, with a particular emphasis on maternal and child health, neurodevelopmental outcomes, and educational disparities among children with chronic conditions.
Key affiliations include the University of Glasgow and collaborations with NHS Scotland on data linkage projects. His teaching roles involve statistics and epidemiology modules for the Master of Public Health program, alongside supervising undergraduate, masters, and PhD students.
