Bonnie Auyeung

Bonnie Auyeung is a Professor of Child Health and Developmental Science at the University of Edinburgh's School of Philosophy, Psychology and Language Sciences. She focuses on understanding how prenatal factors, such as maternal infections, stress, and environmental exposures, influence child development. Her work explores interventions to support healthy development and examines long-term health implications of early-life disruptions. She directs the Psychoneuroendocrinology lab at the Autism Research Centre, University of Cambridge, and serves as Director of Knowledge Exchange and Impact at Edinburgh.

Her research spans prenatal influences on social/cognitive development, neurodevelopmental conditions (e.g., autism, ADHD), and adolescent development. Notable projects include the CHILDS study examining pandemic impacts on child development and the Baily Thomas Charitable Fund grant investigating prenatal infections' effects on developmental outcomes.
