Michael Durland is the Chancellor of Saint Mary’s University and a current Professor of Global Practice at the Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy (University of Toronto). He previously served as Group Head and CEO of Global Banking and Markets at Scotiabank until his retirement in 2016, after which he transitioned to roles in business, philanthropy, and academia. He is CEO of Melancthon Capital and holds leadership positions on the boards of Price Street Inc., TruLeaf Sustainable Agriculture, Dessa, Receptiviti, Dalhousie Medical Research Foundation, and True Patriot Love Foundation.
