Michael Dumouchel is a Course Instructor in Clarinet and Woodwind Ensembles at the Schulich School of Music, McGill University. He holds dual roles as solo E-flat clarinet and second B-flat clarinet with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, positions he has maintained for over 30 years. His career combines performance, chamber music, and pedagogy.
Education: Graduate of the Eastman School of Music, where he studied with Stanley Hasty, Robert Marcellus, and Harold Wright. Professional affiliations include Musica Camerata Montreal, with whom he has collaborated for 25 years. Recording credits span labels such as London/Decca, Centredisc CBC, DGG, and CRI.
