Michael Cosgrave is a Lecturer in the Department of Digital Arts and Humanities at University College Cork (UCC), where he has been employed since 1993. He holds a BA, MA, and PhD in History from UCC, with his doctoral research focusing on Irish participation in the UN mission in the Congo. His work bridges digital humanities, education technology, and historical studies. Key areas of expertise include personal learning environments, game-based pedagogy, and interdisciplinary research methods. He has authored a major book on Ireland’s early UN peacekeeping missions and contributed to numerous conferences on teaching innovation, digital scholarship, and historical methodologies.
