Michael Byrne is a Professor in the Departments of Psychological Sciences and Computer Science at Rice University. His research focuses on human performance modeling, cognitive science, and the intersection of technology with human behavior. He holds a PhD in Experimental Psychology from Georgia Institute of Technology (1996). Byrne has been recognized with awards such as the Kavli Fellowship (2009) and multiple distinctions from Rice University's residential colleges.
