Philip Kortum is a Professor in the Department of Psychological Sciences at Rice University, with a focus on human factors and human-computer interaction (HCI). He serves as Associate Department Chair and Chairman of the Undergraduate Committee, contributing to academic leadership and student engagement. Prior to joining Rice, Kortum spent 15 years in industry, applying human factors in telecommunications and defense sectors.
