Dr. Michael Burgum is a Research Fellow in Biomedical Sciences at Swansea University's Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Science. He holds a PhD in Genetic Toxicology (2019) and is a senior member of the In Vitro Toxicology Group. His role as a Research Officer involves leading projects like Horizon 2020 RiskGONE and NanoInformaTIX, focusing on nanomaterial risk assessment and protocol development for regulatory toxicology. He is a basic Welsh speaker and available for postgraduate supervision.
Education: PhD in Genetic Toxicology (Swansea University, 2019). His thesis investigated inhalation hazards of graphene nanomaterials in advanced in vitro lung models.
