Michael Berman is an Associate Professor in the Philosophy Department at Brock University. He holds a B.A. from the University of Binghamton and a Ph.D. from the University at Buffalo. His research focuses on Continental, Asian, and Comparative Philosophy, particularly exploring intersections between Merleau-Ponty and Nagarjuna. He teaches courses on Buddhist thought, logic, transhumanism, and phenomenology.
Recent academic contributions include works on Kantian-Buddhist ethical comparisons and embodied judgment theories. His current project involves a book manuscript on Merleau-Ponty and theological concepts of God.
Berman's teaching portfolio includes undergraduate courses like Indian Philosophy and Logic, as well as graduate seminars on Merleau-Ponty and Nagarjuna.
