Michael Benedict is an Associate Professor of Environmental Studies and Conservation Director at Hiram College, overseeing the James H. Barrow Field Station and Northwoods Field Station. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Toledo and a B.S. from Universidade Santa Úrsula in Brazil. His research focuses on landscape ecology, forest dynamics, and wetland conservation, integrating GIS technologies for ecological analysis. He teaches courses such as Ecology, GIS Applications, and Grant Writing, emphasizing practical skills and student collaboration.
