Michael Aldous is a Senior Lecturer in the International Business, Entrepreneurship, and Marketing (IBEM) department at Queen's Business School, Queen's University Belfast. His research focuses on business history, particularly the ownership and organization of firms, and their role in shaping globalisation. Currently, he investigates British CEOs, examining leadership trajectories and their impact on corporate performance. Aldous teaches strategic management across undergraduate, postgraduate, and executive programs. He holds a PhD from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

Research interests include the historical evolution of CEOs, corporate governance, and the interplay between firms and global economic processes. His work often bridges historical analysis with contemporary business challenges, such as anticipatory governance in AI and the dynamics of leadership in evolving markets.
As Director of Research Engagement and Impact, Aldous oversees strategic initiatives to enhance research impact. His publications span topics from 18th-century financial bubbles to modern AI governance, reflecting a commitment to interdisciplinary historical perspectives.
