Kevin Mulligan is a Lecturer in the International Business, Entrepreneurship, and Marketing (IBEM) department at Queen's Business School, Queen's University Belfast. His research focuses on the economics of innovation, science policy, and evaluating the impact of public R&D funding on firm performance using econometric methods. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Limerick.
Research interests include policy evaluation, firm-level innovation dynamics, and the role of R&D subsidies in regional development. His recent work examines policy instrument mixes for innovation, multinational enterprise R&D support, and the effectiveness of grants/tax credits in host economies.
Responsibilities include advising Level One BSc Business Management with Placement students. He contributes to academic discussions on innovation policy, regional economic strategies, and the interplay between science and industry.
