Michael Alan Anderson is a Professor of Musicology and Chair of the Musicology Department at the Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester. He holds affiliations with the Susan B. Anthony Institute and the Humanities Center. His research focuses on sacred music from the 14th–16th centuries, particularly lay devotion and saints, with notable publications including Music and Performance in the Book of Hours (2022) and St. Anne in Renaissance Music (2014).
