Meran Currie-Roberts is a cellist, arts administrator, and educator affiliated with the University of Alberta as a sessional instructor and MacEwan Conservatory of Music as faculty. She serves as Executive Director of the Health Arts Society of Alberta (HASA), organizing professional concerts for elders in care, and performs with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra (ESO) and Chamber Orchestra of Edmonton. Her career spans roles in orchestras and administrative positions across Canada, including Winnipeg Symphony, Calgary Philharmonic, and Toronto's The Lion King production.

Her research and practice focus on integrating music performance with community engagement, particularly through outreach programs in Winnipeg’s inner-city schools and multi-generational fiddle initiatives. As a performer, she debuted solo with the ESO in 2020, playing Jocelyn Morlock's Solace.
Meran co-founded HASA in 2016, which subsidizes concerts for marginalized elders, and continues teaching while maintaining an active cello career. She also trains for marathons and supports her local library.
