Dr. Melissa Young is an Associate Professor in the Hubert Department of Global Health at Emory University, specializing in maternal and child nutrition, anemia, and public health program evaluation. Her work integrates epidemiology, community nutrition, and applied economics to address global health challenges. She holds a BS from Iowa State University and a PhD from Cornell University.
Her research focuses on the first 1000 days of life, emphasizing nutrition's lifelong impacts. Key areas include breastfeeding practices, micronutrient deficiencies, and program implementation.
