Meliha Teparić is a Professor at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS), where she serves as the Art Gallery Manager. A multimedia artist, art historian, and curator, she has been actively exhibiting since 1997, with over 70 collective and 11 solo exhibitions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad. Her academic background includes a BFA and MFA in Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo and a Ph.D. in Art History from the University of Zagreb.

Her research focuses on Art History, Cultural Heritage, Islamic Calligraphy, and Visual Culture. She has published extensively on these topics and participated in numerous conferences, workshops, and art projects. Her recent publications explore Sufi aesthetics, Bosnian visual traditions, and intersections between calligraphy and philosophy.
Her curated Google Scholar articles (2008–2024) emphasize Islamic calligraphy, religious iconography, and Sarajevo's artistic heritage. Themes include Sufi symbolism, manuscript restoration, and the evolution of figural representation in calligraphic traditions.
