Melanie Maimon is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Bryant University, where she leads the Belonging, Identity, and Stigma (BIAS) Lab. She holds a B.S. in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, and M.S. and Ph.D. in Social Psychology from Rutgers University-New Brunswick. Her research focuses on identity, stigma, discrimination, and belonging, particularly for stigmatized and minoritized groups in societal and educational contexts.

Maimon's work investigates how identity cues foster inclusion and the consequences of stigmatization.
